Ans(1):- Drainage water/sewage control: We often find manual labour cleaning off drainage/
waste which leads to death of the sweepers. Most of the time, cleaner succumbs to death due
to harmful gases present which is not know prior to the cleaner . We can use IOT based trigger
alarm system using controllers or compete automated control system using PLC in order to
prevent maximum intervention of manual labour.
PLC can be major controlling unit and the drainage level is monitored by supervisory control
and s late acquisition techniques. Inlet and Outlet can be controlled by using valves and
various other parameter can be controlled using sensors attached.

Here gas sensors are used to detect toxic and non-toxic gases in the drainage Initially the
sewage is entered from various household areas and is further separated as toxic and non-
toxic gases using gas exhauster. If water level is high it is sensed by level sensor and PLC is
used to turn solenoidal valve at certain opening to discharge water to next level drainage and
compressor made to operate at minimum pressure.
Over normal controllers, where alarm buzzers is triggered when gas or level is deteched then
manual fuel is required to control the same. PLC plays a vital role in automated control of
these system .
Flexible in Nature: One model of PLC can be used for different operations as per requirement.
Easy to install and troubleshooting: In hard wired relay based systems, installation time is more as
compared to the PLC based control panels.
Availability of Large contacts: PLC programming tools contain internal large number of contacts that
can be used for any change induced in different applications.
Cost effective: Advanced technology and large production of PLC makes it cheaper than the other
controller or relay based systems.
Simulation feature: PLC programming software comes with the simulation features by default.
Simple programming methods: PLC is provided with simple programming methods to program the
PLC like Ladder or Boolean type of programming.
Ease of maintenance: As compared with the control systems like relay based or micro-controller based
systems, maintenance cost of PLC is low.
Documentation: The programmer can program and print easily the programs of PLC for future use.

In the vast world of automated manufacturing programmable logic controller (PLC) are one
of the most reliable and effective means of controlling any electro-mechanical process.
One of the manufacturing that using PLC is a high strength pultruded fiberglass reinforced
polymer composites. Previously this manufacturing was using RSLogix500, but now there
is the latest of Rockwell PLC software that is RSLogix5000.

RSLogix5000 is the latest in the Allen-Bradley series of PLC software. RSLogix5000 uses
one software package consisting of four styles of programming languages: Ladder logic,
structured text, function block diagrams, and sequential function charts. These
programming languages can be used for control process, drives, sequential, and motion
control. This system allows the user create command labels through a tag-based platform.
The parameters for that command can be specified to be a bit, integer, etc. Rockwell
Software has stated the following about the RSLogix5000 platform:
• Intuitive and simple to use.
• Compliant IEC1131-3 interface.
• Structured programming by way of symbols and arrays.
• Instruction set supplying multiple applications.
• Integrates DCS systems or single-loop controllers and dedicated servo or drive systems
into one environment.
• Online troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to create new tags while online.
There are still have others advantages of RSLogix5000.
