Sub: - Filling up vacancies in the post of Chargeman/Tech & Non-Tech (Stores & OTS) through Limited
Departmental Competitive Examination for vacancies arises upto 01.12.2022.

Ref: - DOO(C&S) letter No.2982/LDCE/CM(T&NT)/2022/PER/GB dated 03.08.2022.

In terms of the provision of the SRO-13E dated 04.05.1989 as amended by the SRO-191 dated 28.11.1994
and SRO-66 dated 27.05.2003, it has been decided to hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for
filling up the post of CMITech & Non-Tech(OTS & Stores) for the vacancies arise upto 01.12.2022 falling in LDCE
Quota.
2. The salient features of the LDCE are as under:-

(i) PERCENTAGE OF VACANCIESTO BE FILLED THROUGH L.D.C.E. MODE

25% of the vacancies in Chargeman(Tech) in different Trades/Discipline

25% of the vacancies in Chargeman(Non-Tech) in the discipline of Stores & Other than Stores.

(ii) ELIGIBILITY-

Mechanical (IT) course or equivalent qualification in Computer workers or equivalent with 2 years

(*: Two years of experience will be computed with reference to the last date of receipt of the application.)
Note:- a) Any technical diploma/degree not affiliated/approved by AICTE stands ineligible.

b) In view of the orders of Hon'ble CAT Madras Bench Order dt.19/03/2020 0A No.1942/ 2014 any
candidate obtained Technical Diploma from lME, stands ineligible to appear LDCE-CM Exam. Any
candidate obtained Diploma/Degree through open and Distance Learning mode stands ineligible.

lt is further informed that in pursuance to the Hon'ble Supreme Court Judgement dt.19/09/2020 relating
to WP(C) No.1341 of 2019; MD Naseen Baig & Others Vs AICTE, B.Tech degree/diploma in Engineering
awarded by lGNOU to the students who were enrolled upto academic 2011-1`2 witrf lGNOU to be treated
as valid. In this regard please be referred OFB's Circular No.2982/LDCE/Clarification(lGNOU)/2019/Per/GB
dt. 22/01/2021.

(iii) SELECTION:-Selection will be on the basis of the rank in the written Departmental competitive Examination
and available vacancies in the respective trade/ discipline and in the respective category.

The minimum pass marks in each individual subject shall be 35% while the minimum qualifying rna+-ks in aggregate
shall be 40%. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be listed in the order of merit.

For SC/ST/PwBDs candidates competing against reserved vacancies, the minimum qualifying marks in each subject
"shall be 30% and minimum qualifying marks in aggregate shall be 35°%, if adequate number of SC/ST/PwBDs

candidates is not available in the general standard.

(v) TENTATIVE TIME SCHEDULE -Exact time schedule for holding examination will be notified later on.
(vi) VENUE -The examination will be held at OFIL, Khamaria Jabalpur.
(vii) HOW TO APPLY AND OTHER CONDITIONS - Eligible candidates desirous to appear for the competitive
examination may submit the application through proper channel to CGM/VFJ in the pres€'ribed proforma
alongwith PDF(pdf name is to be as Personl No discipline i.e example 56240 0TS ) of the same to
Establishment Section latest bv 09.09.2022 i.e. the last date of receipt of application. Application received
after stipulated date will not be entertained at all. Appointment through LDCE is basically an appointment by
promotion (fast track promotion) as such there will not be any reservation for OBC.

Admit Cards of eligible candidates will be issued by respective Defence Field Unit.
(viii) Fee: A sum of Rs 100/- for each applicant (except SC/ST/PwBDs candidates) shall be collected by
factories/units.

(ix) SYLLABUS-The syllabus forthe LDCE forthe post cM(T&NT) is available with DOo letter dated 03.08.2022.
(x) Candidates are advised to go through DOO(C&S) letter No.2982/LDCE/CM(T&NT)/2022/PER/GB dated
03.08.2022 for detailed instructions.
