to Vanessa Hudgens, the high school musical actress who played the role
of Gabriella. A hacker published the actress' personal photos on the
Internet in 2007. Madison Beer also had a nude photo scandal in March
2020. When she was about 14 years old and exploring her body and
sexuality, she sent very private Snapchats of her body to a boy she liked a
lot at the time, after which Madison claimed the boy published "very
private Snapchats" she sent him.

We cannot deny that the media move incredibly fast these days
and make our lives easier, but it seems to me that it doesn't always lead us
to the good life we aspire to. In any society, the media is supposed to
provide viewers with clear and factual information; however, after reading
the article, I realized that the negativity of the media plays a large role in
violence against women, as it helps to develop a mindset that renders
other people as harmful to others. Media is increasingly being used to
defame people and manipulate their minds. Obviously, the media has
changed.
Violence against women in the media may not leave bruises, but it
has a strong impact on the victim's life, such as trauma and severe trust
issues. I am convinced that this is a problem that requires collective
resources and is a societal problem that individuals cannot possibly
address alone. In my opinion, violence has resulted from the absence of
four important qualities: Caring, Reliability, Trust, and Integrity. Without these
four qualities, there would be no difference between animals living in a
jungle and people living in a colony. Just like in the article, 3 women who
have been victims of scandal in the media stand up for themselves and
tell their stories. They use these 4 characteristics as their greatest strength
to defend themselves because they knew that their families, friends and
fans (since they were celebrities) CARE for them, they find them RELIABLE
to share their grief and they know that they can TRUST their families, friends
and fans as they have the INTEGRITY to keep them feeling safe.
Everyone is responsible for how they deal with people who either
encourage them to be violent, tolerate violence, tell them that other
people's violence is their fault and can be tolerated, and do not point out
B to them how much some people use the media for bad purposes. So it is
I
A not the media that makes the world more violent; rather, it is some of its

users. Because the media is a neutral instrument. They can influence us in

a negative way on the off chance we abuse it, but we should not allow it
A
Y to overwhelm us. Refuse to be controlled by it. Media itself probably won't

L. lead us to the good life, especially if we use it for the wrong purposes.

T
O
Ultimately, we decide what we value and choose between two options

we have: take control or be controlled by it? For now, I can say that the

choice and decisions we make shape the life we will lead, so every now
and then we should use it in the right way and educate ourselves on how
to use media properly to prevent violence.
In conclusion, problems emanating from the media ought to be
solved through the same medium. Awareness and proper education must
be created to eradicate the evils of the media. And the moment people,
especially men, realize that violence is not a solution to their frustration or
failure in life, I believe violence against women will come to an end.
