GRAMMAR LESSON & QUIZ
INTRODUCTION:
We use the present perfect and the present perfect
continuous for finished and unfinished actions.
1 FIRST SITUATION
The present perfect continuous can be used to emphasise
the length of time that has passed, whereas the present
perfect is generally neutral.
2 SECOND SITUATION
The present perfect is commonly used when talking about
how much or how many. This isn't possible with the present
perfect continuous.
We can also use ‘yet’ and ‘already’ with the present perfect.
