The pie charts below show the average household expenditures in

Japan and Malaysia in the year 2010

The given pie graphs compare 2 countries, namely Japan and Malaysia, in
terms of the average household spending on 5 different categories in the
year 2010.

Overall, It is clear that Japan spent the most money on other goods and
services while the housing spending was the highest sector of expenditure
in Malaysia. Furthermore, both countries spent the least on healthcare and
transport.

As illustrated, the percentage of expenditure on housing was highest in


Japan, at 34%, while in Malaysia, the spending on this category is much
smaller, at 21%. Both nations also spent almost a quarter of their
expenditure income on food, at 24% and 27% for Malaysia and Japan
respectively.

As for the remaining categories, the proportion of the spending on


transport was 20% in Japan, twice as much as the figure for Malaysia. The
expenditure on heath care was accounted for the lowest percentages
categories, at 6% and 3% in Japan and Malaysia in the order given,
sequentially while the figures for other goods and services were significant
received much budget in both nations, at 29% in Japan and 26% in
Malaysia.
