Dr K.

Parameswaran, is an Associate Professor of Law & Former Dean of


Academics at Gujarat National Law University, India. He holds Bachelor’s Degrees
in Law, Administration, Masters’ in International & Constitutional Law & Ph. D in
International Law.

He teaches law since 2000 in various institutions like National Law School
(Bangalore), National Law University (Jodhpur), Madras University (Chennai),
Symbiosis Law School (Pune).

Currently working at GNLU, he heads Masters’ Dept. at GNLU & was Head of
Curriculum Dept. for Undergraduate Studies.

Interdisciplinary Specialization:

He pioneered a law-subject “Law, Religion, Spirituality & Justice" & also “Ethics
Skills Development (ESD)” for legal research & profession. He teaches & conducts
training programs on spirituality, higher values & ethics for law-teachers, Ph.D
scholars, FDPs, students, advocates, judicial officers & professional corporates
regularly.

He is also involved in;


- Auroville Foundation under MHRD, Govt of India., & UNESCO,
- World Commission on Environmental Law
- International Consortium for Law & Religion
- Project for Integrating Spirituality, Law & Politics,
- Inter-faith Dialogue & Conflict-mitigation
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Vedic Studies & Indian Heritage

He brings spiritual & peace values in legal education & research, writes regularly on
contemporary issues keeping Sri Aurobindo's integral consciousness-knowledge for
individual & collective developments. He is associated with various law schools in
USA for higher research.

He mentors various stakeholders to understand higher purposes of law & justice


through Self-awareness & Universal Consciousness for individual & social goals. He
lived in Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, and now practices integral spirituality
& conducts weekly spiritual classes in Gujarat in addition to his regular academic
work.
