The Heavenly Realms

has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, in Christ; …

o Blessed  be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ [adjective]

o Who has  blessed  us [verb]

o With every spiritual  blessing  [noun]

 The focus of every spiritual blessing is Jesus Himself

 Heavenly Realms: Epouranios (Greek Word) » The throne room, the

heavenly place where God dwells, heaven, the heavenly temple,

sanctuary, the place where spiritual battles take place

o Used 20 times in NT but this particular Greek grammatical

construction is exclusive to Ephesians (found 5x)

o Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord

Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing

in the heavenly realms in Christ


o Ephesians 1:20 – which He worked in Christ when He raised

Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the

heavenly realms

o Ephesians 2:6 – and raised us up together, and made us sit

together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus

o Ephesians 3:10 – to the intent that now the manifold

wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the

principalities and powers in the heavenly realms

 2 Kings 6:15-17 – And when the servant of the man of God arose early

and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and

chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we

do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more

than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I
pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of

horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

 1 Samuel 17:45–46 – Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to

wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God

in Israel.
