DESCRIPCIÓ GENERAL
TRIA is a furniture system designed in 1978 by JM Massana and JM
Tremoleda. In all its versions, this shelving system is adaptable to
all kinds of domestic environments: living room, kitchen, dressing
room, home office, bookcase, etc.
It is also fit for offices, the hospitality industry and shop furniture. It
is a multipurpose system that can be scaled and modified adapting
to the changing needs of the users in the shape of functional
packaging modules with a light and totally resistant volumetry.

MATERIALS AND FINISHES
Side panels
Side panels consisting of 2 vertical ø8 mm steel rods and ø5
mm horizontal rods. This achieves a side panel that allows the
placement of shelves and elements at different heights, with a level
separation multiple of 12.5 cm.
It is available in 4 finishes: bright chrome or with 30% matt 80
micron epoxy powder paint.
The side panels can be 24 or 36 cm deep.
The wall and floor side panels are attached to the wall by means
of 20x60mm and ø5mm screw hooks. A protection piece made of
low density transparent polyethylene acts as an embellishment and
prevents the sides from touching the wall.
The floor side panels are supplied with 2 leveling parts of M8x40
mm and ø40 mm base which provide a 30 mm leveling action to
compensate surface irregularities.
The 36 cm deep floor side panels can act as free standing parts by
inserting a set of metal crosses.
Free standing structure
Set of two metal crosses joined together featuring specific
stainless steel ironwork.
These are attached to the side panels by means of hardware and 4
joining elements made of polyamide.

Available finishes: bright stainless steel or with 30% matt 80
micron epoxy powder paint.
The cross system is only suitable for 36cm deep floor side panels.
The side panel of 198cm, or all compositions including a drawer
and/or desk, must have a point of attachment to the wall.
Metal shelves
Flat or tilted metallic shelves are made of 0.8 mm thick folded steel
sheet.
The shelves have 4 notches for the anchoring parts holding the
shelf and the side panels together. The anchoring parts are made
of stainless steel laminated steel flex subsequently treated with
DELTA TONE DIN 50021 (moisture test), a finish offering very high
resistance to saline mist. These parts are finished with 30% matt
80 micron epoxy powder paint.
Wooden shelves
The wooden shelves are made of 25 mm thick chipboard. The sides
and edges are made of natural oak, walnut or cedar wood. Finished
with water-based varnish.
On the underside there are four ø1.8 mm small holes used to place
together. These are made of electropolished ø1.8 mm stainless steel.
Drawers and cabinets
These parts are made of 0.8 mm thick folded and welded steel
sheet.
Drawers come fully assembled.
The drawer’s maximum extraction is 70%, 24 cm.
Cabinets come unassembled (1 base, 2 sides, 1 back part, 1
retractable door). The different parts are joined together by means
of hardware included in the package.
The cabinet sides feature two brakes enabling the door to be
closed in a smooth and silent way.
The cabinet tope cover, which is used to cover the cabinet’s upper
side, is supplied and sold separately. It has 2 little rods that are
inserted in the cabinet’s side holes. The white, grey and black
cabinet models are also supplied with a wooden door made of
4mm thick MDF panels with an oak or walnut veneer. Finished with
water-based varnish.
These metal parts are finished with 30% matt 80 micron epoxy
powder paint.
All elements are prepared to attach the anchoring parts to the
side panels. The anchorages pieces are made of stainless steel
laminated steel flex subsequently treated with DELTA TONE DIN
50021 (moisture test), a finish offering very high resistance to saline
mist.
Grid shelf
Element consisting of several ø5 mm iron rods welded together.
Finished available: bright chrome or with 30% matt 80 micron
epoxy powder paint. Its design allows the side panel to be held
without anchoring parts.

Clothes hanger-bar

Element consisting of a ø20 mm and 1.5 mm thick steel tube. Bright

chrome finish. Both tube ends are flattened in order to be able to fit
two metal and plastic pieces enabling the attachment to the side
panels.

Desk

Element made of 19 mm MDF, rounded edges with a 5 cm radius.

Lacquered finish.
On the underside there are four small holes used to place the
anchoring parts pieces enabling the attachment to the side panels.

Interior shelf

Made of 1.5 cm thick folded steel sheet with 30% matt 80 micron
epoxy powder paint finish.

Book-holder

Made of 2cm thick folded steel sheet with 30% matt 80 micron
epoxy powder paint finish.

Hook

Element consisting of a ø3 mm steel rod. Bright chrome finish.

This element can be placed both on the side panel and on the
metal shelf.

Signage

Made of transparent polycarbonate.

Skirting board accessory

Consisting of a separator and a washer made of polyamide, it

creates a 3 cm gap between the side panel and the wall. The
number of separators and points of attachment required by the
side panel must be the same.

Clac Magnet

Made of matt polycarbonate. With an inserted neodymium magnet.

PACKAGING

All items are individually packaged except for the shelves, which
are supplied in packages containing two units.
The bookend is also supplied in packages containing two units.
The hook, the skirting board separator, the indicator and the Clac
magnet come in 6-unit boxes.
All packaging materials are made of recyclable double cardboard.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Clean with a damp cloth with water and neutral soap.

Rinse and dry with a dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive products.
