Cruelty and offences against men

In all societies, both women and men are powerfully conditioned to repress the daily realities of (sexual
harassment and workplace glass ceilings) and to collude with the rest of society in keeping these
dimensions of shared experiences hidden.”1

Article 14 in The Constitution Of India 1949


Indian constitution provides equal protection to all man and woman who are citizens
of India under Article14 Equality before law which states that the State shall not deny
to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the
territory of India and Article 15(1) The State shall not discriminate against any citizen
on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them. In earlier
times, women were subjected to cruelty and harassment and there position in the
society was degrading.
