“People Power or EDSA, History in the making;

My Personal Views and Opinions”

February 25.1986 When you hear about the EDSA Revolution or People Power one thing that

comes to your mind is how they ousted the dictator in our country. Based on my research and

watching about the EDSA revolution, from the past administration, Marcos did what he want to

do for the better of the Country but some people or some of his alliance disagree with his plan.

At the time when Marcos declared curfew Nationwide and his allies disobeyed. Because

according to them that this country is for Filipino freedom, but for my understanding Marcos

tries to protect some Filipinos who have not been there in the rally for them to be safe. But his

allies disrespect his decision.

Why did I say they had a bad intention? Because when they knew that Marcos will step down

from Malacanang, they already organized where Aquino will take the responsibilities and replace

Marcos as President of the Philippines. I will not say that Marcos is clean and has no bad

intentions for the country but as far as I know, based on my research Marcos did a great job for

our country at that time but there are people who envy him and overthrow him in his position.

People Power reminds us that no matter how good a leader you are when there are people who

have power and can oust you from your position you can’t do anything but step down and let

them do what they want.
