-Introduction to Surface modeling

Objectives:
After completing this tutorial, you will be able to:
• Basic surface modeling using extrude
• Surfaces merge
• Fillet a surface
• Change a surface to a solid using thicken command.

Procedure s:
1. Extrude a surface.

Sketch a spline and get a surface

2. Extrude the second surface.

3. Merge the two surfaces.

Select the first surface and hold CTRL key and pick the second surface, then click

, use the yellow arrows to keep or trim surface.

Before clicking , use to preview is a good modeling habit.

4. Fillet edge of surface

5. Thicken the surface to a solid

Select the merged surface and then go to menu Edit->Thicken…
