Chocolate cake

First things first to bake a chocolate cake you need to gather all of
the ingredients. You will need three-fourth cup of softened butter,
three eggs, two cups of sugar, two cups of flour, three-fourth cup of
unsweetened cocoa powder, one teaspoon of baking soda, three-
fourth teaspoon of baking powder, and one and a half cups of milk.
Now that you have everything you need in order to make a cake, it’s
time to start mixing. Before you get to mix all of the ingredients, you
will need to preheat the oven to three hundred and fifty degrees.
Also, you are going to need to grease and flour three, six inch
by one-and-a-half-inch, round cake pans. Next, you get to the
ingredients. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder,
and baking soda, then, set this to the side. Once that is done, grab a
largebowl, and beat the butterand eggs on medium to high speed for
about three to four minutes, and slowly add sugar. While this is
mixing together, you need to add in the other mixture, as well as
milk, to the batter until it is smooth. Once you finish mixing, you’re
ready to bake the cake. Pour the batter into the three cakepans, and
make sure there is an equal amount of batter in each one. By now,
the oven should be heated to the correct temperature, and the cakes
can go into the oven where they will bake for thirty to thirty-five
minutes. Meanwhile, you can begin making the delicious chocolate
frosting, also from scratch. To make the frosting, you will need two
cups of softened, unsalted butter, three tablespoons of milk, twelve
ounces of melted, warm, semisweet chocolate, and three cups of
powdered sugar. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter until it is nice and
smooth. This should take around three minutes. Then, add the milk
and continue to beat. Next, add in the melted chocolate, and beat
this mixture for an additional three minutes. Lastly, add the
powdered sugar, and beat until this entire mixture is creamy. Now
that you have your delicious frosting, all you have to do is frost the
cake. Once the time needed for cooking is up, and you have the
heavenly aroma of warm, sweet chocolate floating through every
room of your house, check that the cake is done by putting a
toothpick into it, and if the toothpick comes out clean, that means
the cake is finished. Unfortunately, you can’t enjoy your masterpiece
yet because you can’t frost a blazing hot cake, so you have to wait
for it to cool. Therefore, you have a little bit of free time on your
hands to do anything that you want so that the frosting can go on
smoothly. The last step in the process is, of course, frosting the cake
so that you can enjoy your wonderful creation and share it with your
family and friends.
