Rights of parents

And be kind to the parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life; do

not say a word of disrespect to them, nor shout at them, but address them with word of

honour. And lower to them the wings of humility out of mercy and say: O my Lord! Have

mercy on both of them as they brought me up when I was young. (Qur’an 17:23-24)

But if they endeavour to make you associate with Me that of which you have no
knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate
kindness. (Qur’an 31: 15)

Rights of relatives

Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids
immorality and bad conduct and oppression. (Qur’an 16:90)

And those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of
Allah than the [other] believers and the emigrants. (Qur’an 33:6)
Rights of Neighbour

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives,
orphans, the needy, the near neighbour, the neighbour farther away, the companion at
your side, the traveller, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does
not like those who are self-deluding and boastful. (Qur’an 4:36)

Rights of Non-Muslims

O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the
hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that
is next to piety. (Qur’an 5:8)

“If anyone kills a human being unless it would be for murder or spreading corruption in

the land if would be as if he has killed the whole of humanity and if anyone saves a single

human life is would be as if he has saved the entire humanity.” (Qur’an 5:32)
