な新譜
イタリアのベーシスト/作曲家ヤコポ・フェラッツァ（Jacopo Ferrazza）の新譜『Fantàsia
』は、一般的なピアノトリオに加え女性ヴォーカルやチェロ、ライヴ・エレクトロニクス
も加えたスケールの大きな作品だ。

1990年生まれのイタリアの注目の若手ピアニスト、エンリコ・ザニシ（Enrico Zanisi）に
よる不穏なピアノによって導かれる(1)「Fantàsia」から既にこの作品の物語性の豊かさ、
予想できない展開への期待感、それぞれが反響する即興の興奮に傑作の予感を得る。この
曲にはゲストでファブリツィオ・ボッソ（Fabrizio Bosso）も参加し、咆哮するようなトラ
ンペットを聴かせてくれる。

楽曲はすべてヤコポ・フェラッツァの作曲。
根底にはジャズのみならずクラシックや実験的な現代音楽にも呼応する多様な感性があり
、ありそうでなかったサウンドスケープを描き出す。バンドのアンサンブルも素晴らしく
、特にドラムスのヴァレリオ・ヴァンタッジオ（Valerio Vantaggio）には非凡なセンスを
感じる。

ヤコポ・フェラッツァは1989年にローマ近郊の町フラスカーティで生まれた。イタリアの
フロジノーネ音楽院でクラシックのコントラバスとピアノを学び、同時にジャズ演奏家と
しても活動しエンリコ・ラヴァ、エンリコ・ピエラヌンツィ、グレッグ・ハッチンソン、
パオロ・フレス、デイヴ・リーブマンといった国内外の名手とも数多くの共演を果たして
きた。
2017年に初リーダー作『Rebirth』をリリース、その後もコンスタントにアルバムをリリー
スしている。

Italian bassist/composer Jacopo Ferrazza's new album, Fantàsia, is a large scale work that includes female vocals, cello, and live electronics in
addition to the usual piano trio.
Already from (1) "Fantàsia," led by the unsettling piano of Enrico Zanisi, a hot young Italian pianist born in 1990, one gets a sense of the work's
narrative richness, the anticipation of unpredictable developments, and the excitement of the improvisations that each reverberate with the
excitement of a masterpiece. The song "Fantàsia" is a masterpiece. Fabrizio Bosso also joins the band as a guest on this track, playing a bellowing
trumpet.

At the root of the music is a diverse sensibility that responds not only to jazz, but also to classical and experimental contemporary music, creating a

Jacopo Ferrazza Profile
Jacopo Ferrazza was born in Frascati, a town near Rome, in 1989. He studied classical double bass and piano at the Frosinone Conservatory in Italy,
and has also worked as a jazz performer, performing with many national and international greats such as Enrico Rava, Enrico Pieranunzi, Greg
Hutchinson, Paolo Friess, and Dave Liebman.
He released his first leader album "Rebirth" in 2017 and has been releasing albums consistently since then.
