ESSAY QUESTION:

In not less than 50 words, explain why you want to take Education or why you want to
become a teacher.

When I was in my Grade 10 days, I always ask myself the question "Where am I
good at?" This question is somehow easy to answer for many. Some people can easily
say things to explain where they are good at. But for me, It is really a difficult question to
answer. I always excel in academics, it led me to be a consistent honor student. A
consistent honor but really don’t what specific field she excels. During my senior high
school, I have decided which path I will take. I take Humanities and Social Science
strand which is align to pursuing Education Major in Social Studies. I said to myself that
this is the thing that I want. Though the people around me said that I won't be rich for
being a teacher. It has a stressful job and not a high-paying profession. Even though I
heard many things like that, I still love to pursue Education. It is because, it is where my
heart is. Ever since I was in elementary, I see myself really interested in Araling
Panlipunan subject. Until high school, I'm always active to different subjects under it like
History, Economics, and Contemporary Issues. I also do love it when I'm in my shs
days, I love learning about Politics, History, Economics, Religions and Culture,
Geography and many more. There is also one thing that push me to take Education, it is
when I was in Grade 10. I'm a Supreme Student Government (SSG) secretary that time
and I have the same room with the Student Teachers in Social Studies. I ask them
things and It made me realize more about why I really love teaching. I want to give
knowledge and at the same time I want them to give importance to different topics it has
because it is very useful in many aspect. I want students to better understand the place
they live in. They need to be aware about their own community and also have a
knowledge about our country. I will be there guiding them throughout their journey in
exploring both small or big things around them.
