coaching, and counseling.

Child abuse counselors- assist victims of abuse in regaining their mental health, trusting others,
and finding happiness. These professionals use their education to recognize, assess, and treat
specific signs and symptoms of child abuse. They also provide the essential therapy to assist
the child in overcoming his or her difficulties.

Child Counselors - They're the Counsellors for children, adolescents, and their families. Child
counsellors might include clinical psychologists and child psychiatrists. They look for disorders
including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism in children.

Geriatric counselors serve seniors and help seniors live more satisfying and comfortable lives.

become better citizens of the community. Legal advisers often work in prisons or correctional
facilities. They can also stay in local communities where they can help resolve interpersonal
conflicts.

Grief counselors help people come to terms with the loss that usually follows the death of a
loved one.
They also help survivors of these disasters and calamities cope with their losses, which can
include lives and property. Grief counselors may have private offices or serve communities
affected by natural or man-made disasters. Hospitals also have grief counseling services.

Hospital counselors help patients develop a positive view of their detention. These counselors
can also be social workers who help patients in need by connecting them with charities.
Graduate Hospital Counselors may also take on the role of clinical supervisor or many other
functions in hospital administration.

Drug abuse counselors can be employed in inpatient or outpatient settings. At inpatient facilities,
counselors assist with the care of high-risk patients struggling with drug abuse. In outpatient
settings, counselors are hired to provide treatment during the day, while patients can return to
work at night. These counselors can also serve as detox specialists or emergency first

recovery.

Residential care facilities counselors support and monitor people temporarily living in care

Religious or spiritual counselors specialize in combining psychological counseling with Christian


beliefs in their practice. They often work in a religious setting like the church. Priests and nuns
