2.2 Separable equations

To separate and create another group of equations it es necessary to rewrite the differential
equation in the following form:

M ( x , y )+ N ( x , y ) =0

Meaning, now we don’t have constants as coefficients but functions. If the equation after this
separation can be written as:

M (x )+ N ( y ) =0
dx
Then the equation is defined as separable given that

N ( y ) dy=−M ( x ) dx
At this point integrals can be applied at both sides and a direct solution can be found after finding
y.
