• What seed do you grow and what is
special about it?
I grow olivestrees. Olives grow from evergreen
trees and are usually in countries which possess a
Mediterranean climate. According to the legend
olives were brought to Athens, Greece, by the
Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena
• What do you produce from the
olives?

The products that come from


olives are olive oil and edible
olives. The production olive oil is
being done in an olive mill near
my fields in a town near Lamia,
Molos.

• Since when have you been growing olives and
have you thought about growing another seed?
I have been growing olives
since 1965 and I have
many times thought about
growing another seed. To
be more specific, I have
thought about growing
cotton and grapes which
seemed very intriguing to
me when I was younger
but I ended up not growing
other seeds.
• When do you pick the olives and
with what tools?
There different kinds of olives. I
pick the green ones early in
March and the black ones in
October.
There is a wide variety of tools
but I mostly use the farming
tractor and special nets which
are there to catch the olives
when they fall of the trees.
• What do you do to help the
environment in your business
In my business I make an effort to protect the
environment. Some of the things I do is to use
just biopackage and I’m proud to say that all
of my products are bio.
