Hello Bishop Families ~

I am pleased to report that our first three days of school have been a huge success;
thank you so much for your collaboration and attention to details, as we initiate the
systems and structures at Bishop.

A few reminders:

Daily Arrival of Students ~ There is no adult supervision from the Bishop staff
before 7:55am. Please have your student arrive on campus no earlier than 7:55am
Bishop’s bell rings at 8:00am, when doors will open and students are allowed into
the building.

Bishop Elementary is a pet/animal-free campus per district policy. Animals

should remain across the street from any pick up location or the surrounding
sidewalks during school hours. We have students whose school day can be greatly
affected by their morning arrival transition, and animals can unfortunately make a
big, not-positive impact.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We are thrilled to welcome every student
and Bishop staff member back to school. The PTO executive board and coordinators
are working diligently to map a course for the upcoming school year that is fun,
familiar, and safe. We hope you’ll join our efforts in creating great Bishop experiences
and memories for our children. Volunteers are always welcome and appreciated!
This is your organization, and we depend on volunteer support. Volunteering is also
a great way to meet other Bishop families. If you would like to get involved, please
reach out to us at bishopschool.pto@gmail.com.

Volunteer Opportunity: PTO Website

The PTO is looking for someone to update the PTO website (hosted via Weebly) on a
regular basis (uploading meeting minutes, keeping dates for activities updated, etc.).

Welcome Back Breakfast

On Thursday, September 1st, the PTO provided a Wicked Bagel and Dunkin’
breakfast for all teachers, staff, and administrators to enjoy as they headed back to
school for a day of meetings, collaboration, and classroom set-up. We are so
appreciative of all that our Bishop teachers and staff do!

Supplies
The PTO has funded the first bulk purchase of the year of paper towels, tissues,
soap, and hand sanitizer to help keep our classrooms clean and tidy. A big thank you
to Lindsay Sweeney for going shopping!
