Dear Ms. Tamayo,

We wish to inform you that the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod Research Ethics Committee (CSA-B, REC)
reviewed your study protocol on February 28 and March 14,2022 and is requesting further clarification.
Your study has been assigned study protocol code 2022-003-Tamayo-Delivery of Maternal and Child
Healthcare Services, which should be used for all communication to the CSA-B, REC related to this study.

As a result of the review, committee action is MINOR MODIFICATIONS PRIOR TO APPROVAL.

Scientific Soundness • The introduction should focus on the intention of the research
study, it should also discuss the Maternal and Child Healthcare
Services of the Philippines down to the maternal services in the
Province of Negros Occidental and down to the City of Bacolod
• There should be statistics that would present the different services
on maternity and child services
• The formulated objectives should be aligned with the intention of
the study, please review the formulated objectives, check whether
it can be measured. Do you have a tool to determine this?
• ARE YOU GOING ASSESS THE DIFFERENT HEALTH SERVICES? OR
DETERMINE THE LEVEL OF WHAT?
• Should identify first the different services on maternity and child?
• How can you measure the level of delivery?
• Your questionnaire is asking for the level of agreement
• There are inconsistencies in the term used

2. Literature Review:
• Should define key terms used in the study, the term must be
defined conceptually and operationally, and it must be arranged
alphabetically.
• Sources must be cited including the year.
• Should define key terms as how it is used in the study

• The RORL must be rich in information and should identify/describe


the different Maternal and Child services
• Arrange RORL using a sub-topic
• Schematic Diagram should discuss the source of knowledge and
that source must be properly cited, the arrows and the connection
must be described properly
• Should label the independent and dependent variable
• Observe the APA format
• RORL should be arranged based on the need of the study like start
with Maternal and Child Health Care Services
• Make sure in the in-text citation, names of authors are properly
cited.
• AND must be used instead of ampersand in the in-text citation

• Since the participants on this study are not that technologically privileged, will the researchers
use the Granada health center to collect information from those participants who had availed
the services extended by the Granada health center particularly the MCHS?
• A dialect version of the survey questions should be made available to the participants, in case
it is done virtually, still there is a softcopy format in dialect.
