Advantages:

1. A player must be beaten twice to
be eliminated. G = (6-1)2
2. The tournament is neither long

winner.
4. Expenses, time and efforts used

5. It maintains player motivation

6. The last game is real BYE=P2-N
championship game between two
teams. BYE=8-6

Disadvantages:
1. It takes longer to run.
2. It emphasizes elimination.
3. Not all teams can play against
each other.
4. A team doesn’t know its next
opponent.
5. If a game is being protested, the
tournament cannot resume until
such game is resolved.
