* Seeking Equity actors for possible replacements in the staged reading of "Emilie: La Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life
Tonight," by Lauren Gunderson. All roles have been cast. Auditions are for possible replacements only.
* Company: WAM Theatre. Staff: Kristen van Ginhoven, artistic dir.; Lauren Gunderson, writer.
* Rehearsals begin Feb. 7, 2015 in Williamstown, MA; performs Feb. 13 at Williams College, SUNY Albany, and the Berkshire
Museum.
* Seeking--Emilie du Chatelet: female, 40-49. all ethnicities, dresses in no particular era, confident and curious. Voltaire (V): male,
50+, all ethnicities, dresses immaculately in 18th Century fashion, charming, boyish. Soubrette: female, 18-29, all ethnicities, plays
Emilie and others including Mary Louise, simple and stupid, and Daughter, direct and strong. Gentleman: male, 30-39, all ethnicities,
handsome, plays Jean-Francois and others. Jean Francois is young and doting, sincere. The Marquis is serious but warm, very
formal. Maupertuis is sexy and academic. Marain is snide and proud. Madam: female, 50-59, all eth-nicities, slightly older, plays
Mother and others. Mother is serious and wounded. Madam Fraffigny is obnoxious and rich.
* Equity Principal Auditions will be held Jan. 19 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (lunch, 1-2 p.m.) at WAM Theatre Office, 45 Walker St., Lenox,
MA, 01240. Enter through main door, office is on left. A monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.
