NLRC COVID ADVISORY NO.

16 dated 20 August 2021 suspending the period for filing of Appeals, Motion
for Reconsideration and other pleadings until the first business day of declaration of General Community
Quarantine, to wit:

3. The filing of Motions for Reconsideration (MR) and Petitions for Extraordinary Remedies (ER) is
suspended and shall resume upon resumption of regular operations. It is recommended that the
applicable law, jurisprudence, and rule on suspension of the running of reglementary period is to be
considered in resolving the timeliness of the filing of Motion for Reconsideration and Petition for
Extraordinary Remedies.

The running of the reglementary periods for the filing of Motions for Reconsideration (MR), Petitions for
Extraordinary remedies (ER) and other pleadings shall resume on the first business day after the
declaration of the General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Said NLRC COVID Advisory was extended until September 16, 2021 pursuant to NLRC COVID AVISORY
No. 18 dated 7 September 2021. Said suspension of prescriptive period was resumed on 16 September
2021 pursuant to NLRC COVID Advisory No. 19 dated 16 September 2021.

Said Advisories should be read pursuant to the Administartive Circular No. 72-2021 which provides that
the time for filing shall resume after seven (7) calendar days counted from the first day of the
declaration of the General Community Quarantine.
