Importance of truth

- Truth matters, both to us as individuals and to society as a whole. As individuals, being truthful
means that we can grow and mature, learning from our mistakes.

Truthfulness 

- Truthfulness is necessary to build up the character of a man. A man whose character is not good is


not loved by anybody.

Truth

- is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or standard

Five Universal Values

- Peace
- Freedom
- Social Progress
- Equal rights
- Human dignity

1. The Nature of Belief

Beliefs are involuntary responses to experience of one world or apparent truths of reason, or to


evidence in the form of other propositions that seem to make the belief probable.

The main forms of religious belief are:

Theism – Belief of one or more divinities of deities.

Monotheism – Belief in only one God

Pantheism – Praises Nature

Panentheism – Greek word “Pan” or all, “En” or in, and “theism” Or “theos” which means God

Deism – Belief in Existence of God (e.g., Christianity)

Misotheism - Hatred of Gods

Pytheism – Wherein people believes that Gods can sometimes be evil or not good

Ditheism (Duotheism) – Belief in two supreme dieties
