Learning objectives:
At the end of the topic the students will be able to-
-define reflection
-list down the types of reflection
-state the model of reflection
-explain the Gibbs reflective cycle
-prepare the reflection note with standard word count.

Relevance and purpose of the topics: [2 minutes]


It is relevant to the subject of OT in Clinical Placement for 2nd year OT students.
This topic will help in increasing learning, to grow mindset, encourage students to improve
and learn from their situation.
Prerequisite learning:
 Grammar.

 What is reflection (3 minutes)
 Types (2 minutes)
 Model (3 minutes)
 Gibbs reflective cycle (5 minutes)
 Example (5 minutes)
 Using a word for reflection (2minutes)

Methods of instruction: Instructional materials to be used:


Lecture discussion, brainstorming. Power point presentation, multimedia,
paper.
Concurrent evaluation or feedback from students: [5 minutes]
