ABSTRACT
„Churn Rate‰ is a business term describing the rate at which customers leave
or cease paying for a product or service. ItÊs a critical figure in many
businesses, as itÊs often the case that acquiring new customers is a lot more
costly than retaining existing ones (in some case, 5 to 20 times more
expensive).

Understanding what keeps customers engaged therefore, is incredibly valuable,


as it is a logical foundation from which to develop retention strategies and roll
out operational practices aimed to keep customers from waling out door.
Consequently, thereÊs growing interest among companies to develop better
churn-detection techniques, leading many to look to data mining and machine
learning for new and creative approaches

INTRODUCTION
„Churn prediction‰ is one of the most popular Big Data use in business it
consists of detecting customers who are likely to cancel a subscription to a
service.

„Churn‰ is a problem for telecom companies because it is more expensive to


acquire a mew customer than to keep our existing one from leaving.

METHODOLOGIES
EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis): The dataset consists of 12 variables in all. A
few are continuous, rest are categorical. The control variable was customer.

Model building which includes defining the purpose if model, determine the
model boundary, build the model, create an interface and export the model.

Evaluating machine learning algorithm is an essential part of project.

The practice of examining data using analytical or statistical methods in order


to identify meaningful information is known as data analysis. After data analysis,
we will find out the data distribution and data types. We will train 4
classification algorithms to predict the output.
