Deposite Analysis of Nabil Bank Limited.

Introduction

1.1.Background of the Study

Bank is a financial Institution, which is engaged in monitory Transaction. Nabil Bank Limited
commenced its operation on 12th July 1984 as the joint venture bank in Nepal Dubai Bank ltd. Nabil Bank
Limited has a official name of Nepal Arab Bank Limited Till 31 st December 2001.

Nabil has a good name and a success history for its highly personalized services to the
customers.At the time of commencement, It had Rs. 1000 million as a Authorized Capital. Now, the
authorized Capital of the bank is Rs 3044 million, while the issue and paid-up-capital is rs 965millon.

1.2. Statement of the problem

As we know that main objective of any business organization. The banking system is making
much progress,the progress has been set up with the problem and hindrances. Another pressing
problems is under developed country, lack of banking habit in people .many people are under poverty
line many are illiterate so people are not conscious about banking system and donot know the
important of bank

1.3.Objective of the study


The objective of this study is to analyse deposit collected in Nabil .The study intends to present
a brief and clear picture of deposit and its utilization.
The objective of the study includes finding out deposit trend of Nepal Bank
-To find out the deposit mix.
-To analyses the cost of deposit.
-To analyses whether the deposits are being properly utilized or not.

1.4.Theoretical Framework

The aim of this study is provide systematic and empirical analysis of the deposit analysis of the
nabil bank limited .The following conceptual framework is adopted for this study.

1.5. Importance of the study

Deposit collection is the major function of all commercial banks which help to carry out almost
alltransaction of the bank. Mostly among the various deposit features provided by commercial bank
fixed and saving desopit are considers to be import.In case of term deposit although the banker interest
(longer the period higher the interest ) the funds are committed for the longer periods which can safety
be tent for long term project.

2.Review of literatures

2.1 Thoretical Review

“Review of literature refers the survey of materials which means reviewing research studies or other
relevant proposition in the related area of the study” .Deposite collection is one of the main features of
commercial bank. A commercial bank receives deposite in different account namely current, fixed, and
saving . these are direct deposite . Nepal Banijiya bank act has regulated all the deposite 2031.the act
specifies “deposite” means amount deposite in current, fixed, and saving deposite account of the bank
or financial institution .

2.2 Review of previous study

Bank accept deposite from those that can save but can not utilize profitability. Pople know that by
depositing in the bank they could avail with many more facilities . By saving in the bank people have the
opportunity of earning interest, useful contingencies; Avoid risk such as theft lost accidents. The
deposite of commercial bank is increasing because people know its importance. So banks accept money
on current saving and fixed account.

3.1 . Research Design

The research methodology is the process to the solution of the problems through planned any
systematic dealing with collection, analysis and interpretation of facts and figures. The Research entirely
considers about “Depoit analyss of Nabil Bank”.

The study is based mostly on Secondary information of Nabil Bank .In addition to this reference has been
made in kibrary consult class lectures related books of banking.

3.2. Nature and sources data

All the data collected is secondary in nature.allmost data has been collecet from published
annual reports,brouchers, internet, journals, articles etc. Mostly all the data are collected from
concerned bank

3.3 population and sample

The study is mainly incorporated with annual reports of bank .the researcher uses secondary sources of
data collection . the researcher uses a sample of five year annual reports of the bank for the study .
3.4 Data processing techniques

Diagramatic representation of data various diagrams are used to present are data more clearly

3.5 Reliability and validity of data

The researcher collects the data from offical website of bank similarly data are collected from audited
annual reports of the bank and published articles.

Limitations of the study

The study not present detailed analysis of deposite in NABIL bank Due to lack of time relevant data and
resources. This study limited to the information that was available from the bank and other sources. The
study has time and economy bond.
