Abstract

The aim of the study was to assess the relationship between the variables Connection to

Nature, Mindfulness, Stress, Psychological Wellbeing ,Social wellbeing and Emotional

wellbeing among Young Adults. The study also analyses the predictivity of variables

Connection to Nature, Mindfulness and Stress on Psychological Wellbeing ,Social

wellbeing and Emotional wellbeing. Participants (N=271) with in age group of 18-25 are

selected for the study. Participants were given Personal information schedule,

Mindfulness Scale (Ganesh & Jasseer,2022), Connection to nature scale (Ganesh &

Jasseer,2022), Perceived stress scale (Cohen, Kamarck, & Mermelstein, 1983) and

Mental Health Continuim Short Form (Corey L. M. Keyes,). The results found that there

is significant relationship with all the study variables. The results revealed only

connection to nature and mindfulness predicts PWB. The results also revealed

connection to nature, mindfulness and stress predicts SWB. Predictors of Emotional

wellbeing was found to be connection to nature and stress. The results showed no

influence of gender on the study variables. Area of living and weekly hours spend in

nature had high significant relationship with all the study variables. The findings from the

study can support and help individuals, organization and society to develop more

practices that can help to improve overall wellbeing and happiness.
