1. The Department of Education has been bestowed with the responsibility to deliver quality
education to the learners. Identify five (5) programs of the Department that give importance and
promote the significance of the concepts and ideas regarding cultural relativism.

2. Kindly explain how the Department of Education applies the concept of “Tabula Rasa” and
“Lifelong Learning”. Relate your answers to your experiences and practices in the field of
teaching.

3. Christianity and Islam are two of the most influential religions in the globe. Hence, curriculum
planners consider these in designing and crafting a curriculum, or a specific program for that
matter. Identify the prominent contributions (3 each) of Christianity and Islam to the Educational
System of the Philippines. Then, discuss comprehensively how religion affects the educational
system of a country.

4. The K-12 curriculum is starting to show its advantages. On the flip side, it also starts to
manifest its drawbacks so to speak. If you were to design a new curriculum, in which philosophy
would you anchor the curriculum to? Why?
