SECTION 1
Assessment Guidelines
Assessment Guide
Engineering Control Configuration Changes

1.1 Purpose of the Assessment Guide

The purpose of this guide is to enable you, the learner, to gather and present evidence of
your competence based on the Learning Outcomes.

1.2 Learner Guidelines

Section 1: Pre-assessment Documentation

1. Personal details: Ensure that all required fields are completed.

2. Assessment Instruction: Read carefully to understand the assessment requirements.

Section 2: Assessment Activities

This section contains evidence of all the theoretical and practical assignments you have to
complete to demonstrate competence in the subject matter.

1. Assessment Instruments: Different instruments are used and can range from
questions you have to answer, diagrams you have to fill in, practical tasks you have to do
and simulations you have to complete.
2. Closing the Learning Outcomes Loop: The assessments are based on the Learning
Outcomes or the course. Ensure that you understand them well.
3. Assessor: The facilitator will assess your responses and make a decision regarding
your competence. Should there be gaps in your evidence you will be required to conduct
remedial work for those sections you have demonstrated not-yet-competence. The
assessor will specify the time limitations in which you may complete your remedial work.

Your challenge is to achieve competence by submitting comprehensive evidence of your

knowledge, skills and attributes, thereby assisting the assessor to make a competence
declaration.

Good luck with completing your Assessment!
