EXPO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

With the increasing growth in the number of industries and the competitive run
for the trophy of perfection and profit, these industries round the globe are in
the lookout for a roof to exhibit their products in the most
convenient ,profitable and successful means. Chambers of Commerce and
Industrial Associates around the world conduct expos or large trade fairs and
exhibitions with the aim of promoting their products and companies

EXPO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION:

The industries which have increasing growth want to sell their products and it
consumes a lot of time to sell their products if they go to each and every
customer. And also if people want to buy any product they need to go to
different places to buy them.

So, here is an industrial exhibition where the customers can purchase as many
products they want with a single transport rate. And even the exhibitors can sell
their products to many people with less risk.

1.Maintain Exhibitor Information Module: In this module the exhibitor

information is maintained where the booth is allocated to exhibitor based on this
information.

2.Booth Management: Expo Management System automatically updates

exhibitor accounts when fees or services are changed for a booth. We also have
the option of printing reports of booth assignments and analyzing your booth
data with statistical reports.

3.Maintain Product Directory: A complete product guide and exhibitor

directory is easy to produce when using Expo Management System. We can
create this by defining product codes and assigning them to exhibitor accounts.
Each exhibitor can have multiple directory listings.

4.Exhibitor Accounting: Within the Expo Management System accounting

reports include exhibitor financial list, booth audit trail, cash receipts by date,
deposit slips, statements, accounting summary reports, status reports, and end-
of-month reports. It is easy to create our own or tailor these reports to fit our
needs by using the custom report writer.

UML DIAGRAMS

Grady Booch, James Rumbaugh and Ivar Jacobson have collaborated to

combine the best features of their individual object oriented analysis and design
methods into a unified method the Unified Modeling Language. The version 1.0
for the Unified Modeling was released in january1997.The main parts of UML
are based on the Booch,OMT and OOSE methods.

The goals of UML are:

 To model systems using object-oriented concepts.

 To establish an explicit coupling between conceptual as well as

executable artifacts.

 To address the issues of scale inherent in complex, mission critical

system.

 To create a modeling language usable by both humans and machines.

USE CASE DIAGRAMS:

Use Case Diagrams identify functionality provided by the system (use cases),
the users who interact with the system (actors), and the association between the
users and the functionality. Use Cases used in the analysis phase of software
development to articulate the high-level requirement of the system. The primary
goals of Use Case Diagrams include:

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Page 3

H.K.D.E.Trust polytechnic Humnabad
EXPO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

 Providing a high-level view of what the system does.

 Identifying the users actors of the system.

 Determining areas needing human-computers interfaces.

Use Cases extend beyond pictorial diagram. In fact, text based use cases
description are often used to supplement diagram and explosure use case
functionality in more details. In essence, use case diagram can illustrate the
requirement of the system.

ACTIVITY DIAGRAMS:

Activity states Activity states mark an object.

The notation for these states
are rounded rectangles.Action state
The same notation as found
in Statechart diagrams.

Transition When an Activity State is

completed Processing moves transition
to another Activity State. Transition
are used to mark this movement.
Transitions are modeled using arrows.

Synchronization Bar Activities often can be done in parallel.

To split processing (”fork”), or to resume
Processing when multiple activities have
been completed (“join”), Synchronization
bars are used. These are modeled as solid
rectangles, with multiple transitions going
in and/or out.

The initial state marks the entry point and the

initial Activity state. The notation for the
initial state is the same as In State Chart
diagrams, a solid circle. There can only be one
Initial State Initial state on a diagram.

Final State Final states mark the end of the

modeled workflow. There can be
multiple Final states on a diagram,
and these states are modeled using
a solid circle surrounded by
another circle.

SEQUENCE DIAGRAMS:

Sequence diagrams document the interactions between classes to achieve a

result, such as a use case. Because UML is designed for object oriented
programming, this communications between classes are known as messages.
The sequence diagrams lists objects horizontally, and time vertically, and
models these messages overtime.

Notation:

In a sequence diagram, classes and actors are listed as columns, with vertical
lifelines indicating the life time of the object overtime.

Object Objects are instances of classes,

and are arranged horizontally. The Object 1
pictorial representation for an
object is a class(a rectangle) with
the name prefixed by the object
name(optional) and a semicolon.

Actor can also communicate with

objects, so can be listed as a
Actor column. An actor is modeled
using the ubiquitous symbol, the
stick figure.

SYSTEM TESTING

Software Testing is the process used to help identify the correctness,

completeness, security, and quality of developed computer software. Testing is
a process of technical investigation, performed on behalf of stakeholders, that is
intended to reveal quality-related information about the product with respect to
the context in which it is intended to operate.

This includes, but is not limited to, the process of executing a program or
application with the intent of finding errors. One definition of testing is "the
process of questioning a product in order to evaluate it", where the "questions"
are operations the tester attempts to execute with the product, and the product
answers with its behavior in reaction to the probing of the tester.

A good test is sometimes described as one which reveals an error; however,

more recent thinking suggests that a good test is one which reveals information
of interest to someone who matters within the project community.

In general, software engineers distinguish software faults from software

failures.
In case of a failure, the software does not do what the user expects.
A fault is a programming error that may or may not actually manifest as a
failure.
A fault can also be described as an error in the correctness of the semantic of a
computer program.

A common practice of software testing is that it is performed by an independent

group of testers after the functionality is developed but before it is shipped to
the customer.
Another practice is to start software testing at the same moment the project
starts and it is a continuous process until the project finishes.
WHITE-BOX AND BLACK-BOX TESTING:

White box and black box testing are terms used to describe the point of view a
test engineer takes when designing the test cases.

Black box being an external view of the test object and white box being an
internal view. Software testing is partly intuitive, but largely systematic. Good
testing involves much more than just running the program a few times to see
whether it works.
Software Testing is the process of executing software in a controlled manner; in

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Page 13

H.K.D.E.Trust polytechnic Humnabad
EXPO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

order to answer the question “Does this software behave as specified?”

Software testing is used in association with Verification and Validation.

Verification is the checking of or testing of items, including software, for
conformance and consistency with an associated specification. Software testing
is just one kind of verification, which also uses techniques as reviews,
inspections, walk-through.
Validation is the process of checking what has been specified is what the user
actually wanted.

•Validation: Are we doing the right job?

•Verification: Are we doing the job right?

In order to achieve consistency in the Testing style, it is imperative to have and

follow a set of testing principles.
Three phases of testing in Software Development Life Cycle are:

•Unit Testing: in which each unit (basic component) of the software is tested to
verify that the detailed design for the unit has been correctly implemented

•Integration Testing: in which progressively larger groups of tested software

components corresponding to elements of the architectural design are integrated
and tested until the software works as a whole.

•System Testing: in which the software is integrated to the overall product and
tested to show that all requirements are met

A further level of testing is also done, in accordance with requirements:

•Acceptance Testing: upon which the acceptance of the complete software is

based. The clients often do this.

CONCLUSION

This application certainly satisfies the requirements of various knowledge

aspirants
who regularly search for the various information on websites. This application is
not a standalone application, we can make updations to it in order to make the
application more robust.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS

It is not possible to develop a system that meets all the requirements of the user.
User requirements keep changing as the system is being used.

Some of the future enhancements that can be done to this system are:

• As the technology emerges, it is possible to upgrade the system and can be

adaptable to desired environment.

•Because it is based on object-oriented design, any further changes can be easily

adaptable.

•Based on the future security issues, security can be improved using emerging
technologies.

•Attendance module can be added

•Sub admin module can be added

ABSTRACT

This thesis attempts to present the steam blowing activity of super critical boiler
at different steam circuits and it show the state of the art of cleaning technology
for life time extension of Super critical Thermal Power Plant for both the units
of 2x500MW, YTPS. Raichur, Karnataka, India. Steam blowing dedicated to
removal of all welding debris and particles, after installation and creation of
propose conditions, for introduction of stearn into the turbine without operation
risk. The purpose of each steam blowing is to protect the downstream steam
turbine, this process requires that the pertinent CFR is obtained and mechanical
team purity is steam purity proved by means of target plate. Here by calculating
it is found that actual value of CFR is 1.2 to 1.7 that show the steans blowing is
effective and the target plate results are found to be satisfactory, Keywords:

Introduction to steam blowing

chemical cleaning and steam blowing Failure to remove debris may result in
increased turbine erosion, blade damage and rapid deterioration of turbine
efficiency
Principle of steam blowing

Stan blowing is carried out by adopting puffing method. It is performed by

rising the boiler pressure 60 bar and releasing the steam through a quick
opening valve. This technique gives a thermal shock to the contours being
purged This results in loosening of the shared scale which is noquently removed
by expanding steam. The town mentor and tabine manufactures, piping systems
suppliers, and the operator must reach joint decision on the type of cleaning
method, the criteria for evaluation of cleanliness and the required degree of
cleanline

Steam blowing of power station pipelines

Steam blowing allows power station boilers and pipelines to ensure during
normal operation no adhering material in the superheaters, re-hosters and steurs
pipelines will become dislodged, reach the turbine blades, and damage tha
Puffing and continuous methods are mainly used for steam blirwing

Definition of steam blowing

The blowing of steam through ping to remove debris from the pipe, cleaning
steam lines to a steam turbine, cleaning plant expansion lines, or new installs.
As the definition says, to staan blow a pipe squires steam to blow through the
pipe. This pipe can be attached to a boiler and the other end of the pipe can be
attached to a steam turbine.

The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Haridwar unit has manufactured
the country's first indigenous 800 MW turbo generator.

It has made this state-of-the-art generator for the Yeramanus Thermal Power
Project of the Karnataka Power Corporation at Raichur. This generator can
supply power to about 6 lakh homes.

BHEL executive director Prakash Chand waved a green flag at a ceremony to

send off the generator to Raichur. Describing it as a major step towards
realizing PM Narendra Modi's vision of 'Make in India, Chand said, "The
supercritical generator requires a high level of precision and craftsmanship for
its manufacture which comes from the dedicated and skilled workforce."

BHEL Haridwar already manufactures and supplies supercritical turbines and

gerators of 660 MW, 700 MW and above.

General manager (electrical machines) Anil Kapoor said this is the largest
capacity groerator ever made in India, and uses steel hollow conductors in place
of copper conductors.

With the muccessful dispatch of the generator, a new benchmark has been set
by BHEL Haridwar with respect to indigenous manufacture of dennal sets with
supercritical parameters.

The facility for assembly and testing of this series of generators has been
designed and engineered in-house at BHEL's Haridwar plant. The new facility
has the capability to manufacture and test turbo generators of up to 1,000 MW
rating

(YTPS) on Wednesday achieved a milestone by being ready to commence

mmercial operation. The unit with a capacity of 500 MW will begin generation
the station gets coal linkage. The power station requires 22,000 tonnes of coal a
day. Ofts are making efforts to get

coal allocation at the carbest. Remaining infrastructure ch as ash-handling

facility and

railway siding would also have to be established before the unit could begin
commercial

generation.

The readiness for commercial operation announced after the first unit generated
at a capacity of 813.2 MW for 72 hours from 10.56 p.m. on March 4 to 10.56
p.m. on March 7 as part of various tests involved in the process

The YTPS, which has come up on 1,126 acres of land on the outskirts of
Raichur, has used supercritical technology which not only increases the
operational efficiency but also reduces heat rate. G. Kumar Naik, managing
director, Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd., told reporters that this was the third

power station in the country after Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh stations that had
adopted such a technology.

Mr. Naik, while congratulating the officials who worked on the project, said the
second unit

with 800 MW capacity would also begin commercial generation at the earliest.

The high-tech machinery used at the station would increase the operational
efficiency by 9%, he said. He said the heat rate of the machines was below 8%
compared with other units. The coal consumption would automatically get
reduced if the heat rate was low, he added. As my 320 men are required to
generate 800 MW of power every day.

Mr. Naik said suitable employment was being provided to those who had lost
their land for the power station. Of the 259 land-losers, 142 had applied for
jobs. Of them, 78 applicants had been offered jobs and the remaining
applications were under verification, he added.

Supercritical Technology

Supercritical Technology The current thrust of thermal power development in

the country is on supercritical units so as to improve the conversion efficiency
and reduce carbon footprint A number of power generation utilities are going
for supercritical technology and a large number of supercritical units of 600/800
MW size are already under construction. Apart from BHEL and L&T, several
other manufacturers are setting up facilities for manufacturing
