Mayor of Capas, Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan went live on March 02, 2021 against the
accusation about the Land grabbing allegation of Mr. Froilan Apostol that was aired on
the Pyra Lucas interview.
Mayor Reynaldo discuss and clear things about the land hectares that was given to the
18 Farmers. It is just 1 hectare that was granted each of the 18 Farmers. Mayor
Reynaldo emphasize that “Inuulit ko po, ang mga grant na ito ay naproseso na bago pa
lamang ako maging mayor”. He proudly says that he is not guilty about the allegation
that was starred in him.
All the land was approved by the DENR survey plan and it is owned by the Government.
The land that Mr. Foilan wants to claim was allotted in building the Senior High School
for DepEd, Superintendent Office, TESDA Building, Tricycle Terminal, Talipapa, Public
Cemetery, Catch Basin, and PNP Firing Range. “Sa madaling salita, government
property at for public use po. Nasaan po dito ang pangangamkam? Trabaho ko po ito
bilang Mayor, kung may nag-reklamo laban sa taong nagtatayo ng structure sa property
na hindi sakanya at wala ring kaukulang permit, natural ipapatigil po ito ng awtoridad
dahil illegal construction po ito sa property ng iba. Huwag sanang ipilit na gawing
personal.” Mayor Reynaldo said with integrity.
In the live video, Mayor Reynaldo announced that they filed a case against Mr. Froilan
Apostol, Estabillo, Mr. Bautista and Pyra Lucas for accusing him in allegation of land
grabbing.
Mayor Reynaldo said that “Madali pong maghusga, pero sana ay may kasamang
responsibilidad.” The issue was becoming personal that is why he filed case against to
all people who accused him. He presented all the legal documents that can support his
words and actions. In the end of the video he said that “Ang responsibilidad ko nasa
Capas, at ang panunungkulan ko ay ayun po sa batas.”
