Paragraph 4: Short and Long Term Goals


This is a very crucial part of your SOP. Here you must mention your
long term and short term goals.

SHORT TERM GOAL – what do you want to achieve immediately after


UG? Where do you see yourself? Which company and at what
designation?

LONG TERM GOAL: Where do you see yourself in the next 8-10 years?
Please be specific while mentioning your goals.

Paragraph 5: how can you achieve the goals with the education you
are going for in Canada… write the features of the school that will
help you to achieve your goals
Paragraph 6: what you know about Canada as a country

Establish strong ties back home (will work as a guarantee that you
will return to India)

Paragraph 7: <Finances: Family and Financial Background>


Briefly describe your family income stating that you are capable of
affording your studies abroad:
Who would fund your education? And how?
How many siblings do you have? What do they do? (Optional)
What do your parents/guardians do?
If you plan to take an education loan, disclose the amount you
would be taking to bear the expenses including tuition fees,
accommodation, and miscellaneous expenses.

Paragraph 8: <Information on academic transcripts and relevant


certificates you are providing>
Such as: Offer Letter from a Canadian University, GIC Certificate,
Medical Examination Proof, 10th and 12th Mark Sheets, Resume, Self-
Declaration, Copy of Receipts to the University, and Financial
Documents to support your education
