The advances in technology such as airplanes, telephones as well as the internet has

made communication and transportation easier, making it light. Through this, people and

countries are flowing throughout the globe. It has become less complicated, considering it as

liquid. This form of globalisation has allowed countries and nations to come together.

For example, a local company in country A can make a product and sell it locally

while having another local company as their competitor. However, with globalisation,

another country, country B, is able to sell the exact same product in country A for cheaper

due to having a cheaper production cost. This makes it possible for more products and

services to be available to more people at affordable prices, but it takes business away from

local companies.

Globalisation also allows the flow of knowledge, cultural practices, and language

around the world.

Although globalisation is seen to have many positive attributes, there are still negative

affects that come with it. Globalisation affects the environment as well as some regions of the

world. Some companies are known to take their industrial productions out of their local

countries to more economically disadvantaged countries. This causes people to lose but opens

up opportunities for those in the economically disadvantaged country. However, they are paid

much lower salaries, and are not given basic human necessities such as health insurance. This

is both an advantage but with solid attributes in globalisation.

Another disadvantage is how the use of ships, airplanes, and cargo ships for

continuous transport of goods and people have contributed to climate change by the amount

of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. This is one of the main causes of global

warming.
Globalisation is neither good nor bad, with many effects on different aspects. What is

important is that we know how to deal with either to continue globalisation.
