study time) for projects in- or outside our institute that are not directly connected to EC’s
you get for other curriculum courses (since you are not allowed to get credits twice for the
same activity). The type of projects that are admissible for this part of the program are
categorized as follows:

- performance activities in our institute** = INT
- performance activities outside our institute** = EXT

*Colloquium activities
It is mandatory to include at least 1EC (=28 hours of study load) of colloquium activities.
Such activities include following lectures, symposia or other academic events with regard to
the role of the arts in our society or on research in the arts. You can choose lectures offered
by Fontys University of the Arts. For instance, the Intercultural Art and Science Lectures or
The Master Art Education Masterclasses. You can also visit symposia and lectures outside
FHK concerning relevant topics like artistic research, climate change, migration, war, nature,
diversity, inclusion, sustainability and resilience.

**Performance activities (internal & external)

These include playing concerts, participating in masterclasses, participating in summer
schools, participating in projects, etc.

***Educational activities
You are allowed to add teaching or other educational activities with a maximum of 2EC = 56
hours of study time

Explanation
We would like to have a report of these activities in your portfolio. For each activity you have
to fill in the form below. Note that 1EC equals 28 hours of study time. You are also allowed
to use ½ EC, which covers 14 hours of study load. It is, however, your Study Career Coach
who decides how many EC can be assigned to a given activity.

You can file requests throughout the study year with a final deadline of June 15. Be aware,
that you are not allowed to get EC’s for activities that took place more than a year ago.
