COVER LETTER

REQUIREMENTS

The First Author or the Corresponding Author are required to send a “Cover Letter” with
their manuscript.
The “Cover Letter” should respect the standard requirements for correspondence in English:
the Author’s address in the upper left corner, the date.
The mailing address for the Editor is written below, on the left.
The standard salutation is “Dear Editor”.
The body of the “Cover Letter” should contain at least these key points:
▪ The full title of the manuscript submitted for review;
▪ A statement that the manuscript is only submitted to Romanian Journal of Morphology
and Embryology (Please note that it is unacceptable to submit your paper to more than
one Journal at the same time);
▪ A statement confirming that all Authors have participated to the work and agree to its
submission to Romanian Journal of Morphology and Embryology;
▪ A statement that all work performed and all written text are original and were not
plagiarized from any previous work, even if it could be attributed to any of the Authors
currently submitting the manuscript (plagiarism and self-plagiarism);
▪ A brief statement explaining the significance of the work – what makes the current
study different from published data, what is its importance in the field, what does it bring
new to the scientific community?
