Assignment #2

1. What is meant by saying that “history matters?”

Based on my own understanding, there is no past is past, History is important, every complex thing
came from a simple one. If we don’t have record of history with don’t know the process of making
anything. We are stuck in a dark room, every generation they will feels like a same exploring. We can’t
make progress. That why history matters, we can’t just die in same snake over and over, we can’t die in
the same kind of berry every single time and we unable to have the ‘patriotism’, if we don’t have the
idea of what happen to our country. We can’t value things that you don’t even know the story behind it.
History matters. That’s our cheat sheet to better judgement in present, part of our identity, part of who
we are. History is Very Important.

works.

Primary Sources example: Government records, Photographs\, Tools Weapons

B. Discuss the importance of Source as historical evidences/ historical data.

No one can accept claim without any evidence, the same in history. We need to have something to
support what kind of history are we making, Sources helps to visualize more clearer ‘picture’ for us to
analyze what kind of bigger concept inside, and of course to prove that this certain event really
happened. This material also helps young generation to be more interested in history.
