Appointment of Registrar
Post-Graduate and Research Institute
DETAILED ADVERTISEMENT
The Post-Graduate and Research Institute (Uccha Shiksha Aur Shodh Sansthan) of DBHP Sabha
(Madras) conducts courses leading to award of Graduate and Post Graduate degree in Hindi as also
P.hD. The Sansthan has four Post-Graduate Centre’s in various South Indian states. The Sansthan also
manages Colleges of Education, duly recognised by NCTE, wherein B.Ed Degree is awarded.

The Institute/Sansthan invites Applications from duly qualified persons for appointment to the
post of Registrar. The Registrar will be the Principal Executive Officer of the Institute/Sansthan and will
report to the Vice Chancellor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
1. a) Master’s degree in Hindi with at least 55 % of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the
UGC Seven point scale
b) At least 15 years of teaching and research experience in approved
College/Institution/University of which eight years should be as Reader/Associate
Professor along with experience in educational administration
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and /or other Institutions of Higher
Education
OR
15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an
equivalent post

2. Ph.D. Hindi/Education

Scale of Pay: Pay will be fixed with reference to the last pay drawn by the Applicant in the post in
which he/she is currently working.
Tenure: Appointment is for a period of 3 years from the date of appointment or till age of 58 years.
Appointment is strictly on contractual basis

Applicant should be below 55 years as on the last date for submitting the Application

Procedure of Appointment:
Appointment will be made from a panel of names recommended by a Selection Committee
constituted for the purpose.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Candidates are advised to confirm their eligibility prior to submission of application form. Mere
possession of eligibility conditions shall not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The date
for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the closing date as
prescribed in the advertisement for receipt of duly completed applications.
2. In service candidates must produce a No-objection certificate from their employer at the time of
interview.
3. If at any stage of the recruitment process or employment, it is detected that there is a wilful
suppression of factual information relating to the eligibility or otherwise as a candidate, followed by
supply of fake documents / or misleading statement / information in the application or tampering of
documents or providing such information the candidature shall be cancelled or services shall be
terminated forthwith, if already appointed, as the case may be.
4. Applicants must possess good knowledge of computer applications (on word processing,
spreadsheet, presentations software etc. and OS like MS Windows etc)
5. Appointment shall be subject to verification of antecedents, educational qualifications,
experience and medical fitness
6. Applicants, if called for interview, will have to travel and attend it at their own expense
7. Copies of certificates need not be enclosed with Application Form. Originals should be produced
at time of Interview
8. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate
possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for an interview. The Sabha reserves the
right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of
qualifications higher than the minimum prescribed or such other conditions that it deems fit.
9. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate
