Is immigration beneficial or harmful? Some believe that immigrants overrun the country, steal
employment, burden taxpayers, and endanger indigenous culture. Others argue that immigration
stimulates economic growth, fills skill gaps, and contributes to a more vibrant society.
Immigrants definitely give large economic benefits, according to evidence. Local and short-term
economic and social costs, however, exist. The primary role that immigrants play in economic
development is often overshadowed by defensive tactics to keep immigrants out, similar to trade
discussions, where protectionist tendencies tend to eclipse the longer-term need for more open
societies. A remedy must be found in the form of policies that allow benefits to compensate for
losses.
What are the challenges of countries or the receiving countries by the arrival of migrants?
Migrants frequently face difficulties in integrating into host communities, resulting in issues such
as communal integration, harmonious living, commerce, cultural practices, religious beliefs,
language barriers, agricultural practices, economic activities, social integration, pastoralism, and
others.
Give one positive and negative consequence's of migration on the country of origin and on the
host country?
There are several debates about the benefits and drawbacks of migration, as well as how it has affected
us locally.
• The pension gap can be addressed by new young workers' payments, and they also pay taxes.
• Schools that are failing (or have declining enrollment) can be reformed.
• Employers may be able to ignore productivity, training, and innovation if people are ready to work for
a cheap wage
• Population growth can place a strain on public services.
• There may be issues integrating and interacting with the local population.
• Ease of movement may make organized crime and human trafficking easier.
