Ephesians 1:3-10 (NIV)

Observations:

1. In the first verse of the chapter, it was stated that Paul is the author.
2. In verse 3, Christ and the Father as a blessing or the one who blesses was mentioned twice.
3. Praises and blessings are good for the spirit.
4. In verse 4, he, him, and his was mentioned once.
5. Love is also mentioned in verse 4.
6. In verse 5, Christ was mentioned again and this is the 6 th time that He was mentioned in this
chapter.
7. Being part of God’s family is also mentioned in verse 5.
8. We are to follow the will of God and please Him with the life He has given.
9. In verse 6, praise and love were mentioned the 2 nd time in this chapter.
10. In verse 7, Paul spoke about salvation and he also states that it is only by God’s grace.
11. In verse 8, it is stated that He is with all wisdom and understanding.
12. In verse 9, he and his are mentioned twice.
13. Christ was mentioned again in verse 9.
14. Will was mentioned the 2nd time in this chapter.
15. In verse 10, the purpose of all things mentioned in the previous verses was revealed.
16. All these verses gave an instruction and a guide of how a life that is in Christ must be lived.
17. All that we do must be according to Christ.
18. We are chosen, loved, redeemed, and forgiven by the Lord.
19. Everything was intended for good.
20. His grace is freely given to us.
21. We are connected to God because of Christ.
