Introduction
The sports sector has changed abruptly in the past few years in each public, private and
voluntary sector. In terms of the sports industry, private sectors are funded by private capital
and are confined to private memberships only. JD Sports company is a UK-based sports
fashion retail company. The target market of JD sports company is under the 20s though its
footwear tends to attract a broad demographic. JD sports has evidenced a drop in its market
size in the year 2020 than in 2017 due to its launch in the US, thereby the US market acquires
about 30 percent of the yearly revenue of the company in 2021. Sport England is a non-
departmental public entity that comes under media and sports, it ensures to provide a service
that focuses on public welfare. Sport England has invested about $500 million on its projects
where it has earned a total revenue of $18 million. London Community Boxing is a charitable
entity that fuels up the performance of the firm and the social cohesion, it generates about
$500,855 in sales. The present report is based on a detailed analysis of the sports industry to
acquire access to industry perspectives and concepts of high growth sectors.

and JD sports experience shifts often thus, the company tries to build strong relationships
with their suppliers, investors, and consumers.
The momentum has been exerted by the higher level of government policies indulging the
UK sports Council and other public entities like Sport England which ensures to offer to
fund. Recently, more people are driven towards taking part in sports activities which have led
to increased pressure on the local services. The Sport England sector has aimed to invest in
sports and physical activities to promote the necessity of physical activities among the
citizens of England. It has also served various opportunities to the people that take an interest
towards participating in sports by eradicating financial issues. As per the view of Copeland et
al., (2020), recently, sports are indulged with several factors which are dependent on
background, financial conditions, gender, and others. This sector has enabled us to tackle
such issues and provide several benefits to the people. It aims to promote movement and
sports by implementing National Lottery funding and grants from various cultural, media,
and digital departments which have led it to become a public entity. The strategy
implemented by the Sport England sector is to help people overcome challenges posed by
unprecedented issues like COVID 19 and provide opportunities to young people. The key
stakeholders of the Sport England sector include National Governing Bodies of Sport,
Country Sports Partnerships, and others for grants which have helped them to execute
corporate governance in this sector. Sport England invests about £ 30 million of National
Lottery into four consecutive National Governing Bodies including football, boxing,
basketball, and other associations England, (2018). This will motivate the potential
participants and athletes to achieve their goals.
London Community Boxing is a charitable entity that aims in providing inclusive access in
the field of boxing where they have focused on raising sustainable participation in the sports
industry Kokolakakis et al., (2019). They emphasise increasing benefits as that will enable
building personal development, confidence, and skills among the potential people. They have
also implemented boxing training sessions to individuals that empower the members of the
community to be vulnerable which in turns, helps to minimise crime cases in the society as
well. According to Pedrini et al., (2021) the sector encourages people from different
backgrounds, age, gender where the LCR group initiates its gym centers in SouthEastern
London and Peckham encourages everyone to join their sessions offering boxing, cardio and
weight lifting where they provide extensive training (Jump and Smithson, 2020). LCB has
successfully been able to achieve a competitive advantage by achieving success at national
levels. LCB has too few employees and has two companies in London where they have
4
generated total revenues of $500,824 in sales (Statista, 2022). They also aim to enhance the
benefits of sports and boxing in a diverse society. Their key stakeholders involve local
communities of London, local authorities, athletes, potential individuals, trainers, and
trainees in the boxing sector.

strategy has helped in meeting the organisational goals (Soen and Yin, 2019). Besides this,
the company has made efforts in motivating their stakeholders by paying them equally which
has led to better performances and positive employee experiences. The finance structure
helps the company to adopt digital technology in its operations which has helped them retain
consumers worldwide. While the financial department has fueled up the HR practices which
has a positive influence on the productivity of the firm.
Conclusion
Through the above discussion, it can be concluded that there lies a vast difference between
the private, public and local voluntary sectors. The public sector shall evidence a constant
growth in renewing its connection with physical activities as long as the climate favors. JD
Sports being a private sector visualises a growth in its revenues due to efficient digital
marketing and implementation of a multi-channel strategy which has helped the firm to meet
its targets and provide its consumers with its fashionable footwear. The HRM department has
also supported digital technology and selective recruitment policies which has enabled the
firm to retain employees as they have aimed at building strong relationships with their
suppliers and employees. As a result, the internal departments of JD sports have focused on
ensuring customer satisfaction.
