MAKING A SAMPLER INSTRUMENT

1) Click the “edit” button in the upper right hand corner of the EX24

2) Under the “Instrument” menu, click “New”

3) Go to “zone”, click “new zone”- “audio file”-click on the arrow, it will reveal a
browser window from which you can select the sample you want to use. Once
selected, it will be loaded into the “zone”.

4) From there, you can select the “range”, (the range of notes over which the
sample will be heard),and the “key”, or root key, which determines which note
will play the sample back at it’s original pitch. In addition, you can adjust sample
start, end, and loop points plus volume and other parameters. You can make as
many zones as you like, or until you run out of keys on the keyboard to assign
them to.

5) Go back to the “Instrument “ menu and click “Save as”, Name your new
Instrument.
