sense to cut on a department but to hire another one within the same year, conflict may arise.

Ideal promotion is when the promotee gets a chance to justify their promotion, unbiased and on merit.

performers to rise faster than those who are not.

1. Example of a conflict & how they dealt with it ? :
An old account holder came into the branch to withdraw cash using a withdrawal slip since he had
misplaced his ATM Card. Due to old age his signature did not match with the one we had in our bank. He
was very upset and needed the money urgently. As per the Bank rules we couldn’t give him cash since
there was a change in signature. As he was desperate I gave him my account number and he transferred
the money to my account through his mobile app. I drew it from my account and gave it to him.

2. Pandemic & stress

When the lockdown started all the employees were really worried about the future course of Banking till
the Pandemic is controlled. Once the employees were summoned to go back to the branch, the family
members were stressed out since there were old people as well as kids. I rented a room near the Bank and
started going to the branch. Even though the number of customers were less and we had taken all the
precautions, everyone at the bank had a fear of contracting the virus.Every day I used to call my family
members and talk to them and I could feel the concern they had for me. The first month was really tough
and then we started slowly adjusting to the reality.

3. Promotion basis - merit, recommend., bribe

The promotion in the Bank is based on criterias. The Bank lists the number of openings for various roles
and the officials based on eligibility can apply for the positions. There are written exams which the

During the pandemic, even though we had to avoid crowds or gathering together, we always used to have
a daily call to catch up to discuss all official matters and personal inconveniences as a result of the
pandemic. That way we ensured to maintain the connection and camaraderie among all the team
members.

5. heated argument with account holder

Once a customer who had applied for a loan was unhappy because his loan approval was taking time. I
tried making him understand that for a quick approval/response he will have to provide us all the
documents mentioned in the checklist which he did not do. He started shouting at me that it's difficult to
get all the documents in the checklist but I had to patiently make him understand that if he did not submit
all the documents, there was a risk of the request getting rejected.

1. Pandemic & stress
Employees' main concerns in this pandemic situation are their health and the fulfillment of their

management chores, and adhering to government laws and regulations are just a few of the things that
have caused us a lot of stress.

2. Pre-pandemic vs post-pandemic - change in job satisfaction level

Overall, we Bank workers have a reasonable level of job satisfaction, despite the fact that it is not
extremely high. However, there is still a lot of opportunity for growth. Employees are one of the most

business can prosper. The company should make every effort to improve employee job satisfaction since
if employees are happy, customers will be happy as well.

Every bank holds a promotion procedure once a year. After becoming a PO, there are two paths to
advancement: merit-based and seniority-based. If you continue to take merit channel promotions in your
initial try, you will reach a scale, i.e. top manager, in just 6–7 years. Many criteria, such as your yearly
appraisal, jaiib or caiib certifications, business growth, and so on, play a role in it.

4. High pressure situations, how do you cope with stress?

When compared to other service businesses, banks have a particular form of job pressure. Work pressure
normally only lasts a short time before the focus shifts to other types of work pressure. It starts at the top
and moves down to the branch level. However, one thing to bear in mind is that the workplace should
always be welcoming. Maintain cordial relationships with coworkers. It will assist you in staying healthy
and joyful. It's important to understand here that we should not be afraid to seek assistance from juniors or
seniors. Seniors have a lot of expertise with many types of work or, more accurately, paperwork, but they
lack technical abilities, whereas juniors can assist you with technical tasks.

5. heated argument with account holder

Whatever the scenario, our goal should always be client happiness. It's up to us to figure out how to do it
based on our unique talents and interpersonal abilities. I constantly make an effort to demonstrate that I
am paying attention. When a consumer is unhappy, remember the human side of things and exhibit
empathy — there's nothing worse than a 'terms and conditions' line when someone is upset.
