When Friends Let You Down

Dela: Hi, Sisil! What are you doing?

Sisil: Hi, Dela! Oh, I’m just attempting to write an application for a multimedia job, but
I’ve got stuck for a moment now. Jaka promised to assist me to write it. He
understands how to write everything in a professional way. And he has very good
ideas.
Dela: Yes, I understand he’s good at that. So, why are you composing it by yourself,
then?
Sisil: Actually, we made an appointment to meet up here at 4pm, but he didn’t come.
Dela: Oh, I saw him a few minutes ago, in front of the cinema with several friends.
Sisil: Is that true? I can never believe that he just broke his promise.
He didn’t even call or text me. He understands that getting this job is very crucial
for me. I can never believe that he disappointed me.
Dela: He probably didn’t remember it.
I think you should call or text him to refresh his memory of your appointment.
Sisil: I did both of them, but he didn’t care to answer. He must have thought twice
about it and he has no idea how to escape from it. If you meet him, please inform
him that I’m very angry at him. So, it appears that I must do it myself.
Dela: Sorry to hear that.
Sisil: Could you help me? Any assistance would become useful.
Dela: I would like to assist you, but honestly, I’m not pretty good at that kind of thing
Sisil: What kind of thing?
Dela: You know, like, spelling, punctuation and other things related to writing in
general.
Sisil: I only need some help with ideas, not spelling and punctuation.
You’ve composed an application letter before, so you understand what I mean.
Dela: Oh, anyway, I just remembered that I have to go somewhere.
Sisil: Is it true? Where?
Dela: Hmm…. At the bookstore! I have to buy some books for my project. I must go
now. Bye!
Sisil: That’s fantastic! An actual situation will always reveal unreal friends!
