Late comers
This report intends to underline the impact created by the latecomers and to describe how it affects our studies and
to suggest a solution for this issue.
When the students come to class late it can interrupt the flow of the lecture, distract other students, impede learning
and generally erode the class moral. Arriving late to school can also mean that students miss out on activities and
to build friendships with peers, potentially impacting their social interaction. Moreover, it pushes to the
misconception of the topic discussed in the class that means half understanding or not able to pick fast the ongoing
discussed content.
There are several ways to overcome or limit persistent lateness. Introducing a set of strict rules for late comers can
emit students from being late. Also, by starting the lessons with an attention grabbing exercise can make the
atmosphere more exciting and therefore, students may be motivated to arrive in time for the next lessons.
Furthermore, keeping a record of those students and inducing a small fine may well prevent this undisciplined
behaviour.
In the light of the research I vehemently believe that its high time that parents school as well as students should
become more responsible and follow strict rules to prevent tardiness.
