Unit: What a story

Lesson: Romeo and Juliet – the world’s favourite love story

Lesson type: mixed lesson

Aims: -To develop students’ ability to read for general and specific information;

-To give practice of talking about and discussing topics relating to “Romeo and Juliet”;

- To practice listening skills.


Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to:

Identify the main ideas from a story;

Give their opinion about the situation in the story;

Skills: reading, speaking, listening, writing

Classroom interactions: individual work, whole class.

Anticipated problems: the students may not know /understand the story of Romeo and Juliet.

Teaching aids: textbooks, notebooks, whiteboard, marker, worksheets, computer and video projector.
