Replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor with PN 33004281, as outlined in the appropriate service manual, Section 8D - Ignition Systems. 3. Cut off the old ECT sensor wiring harness connector within one inch of the connector. 4, Strip one inch of insulation from the remaining wire and slide a piece of heat shrink tubing, PN 4419644, onto each wire . 5. Strip one inch of insulation from the wires on the repair pigtail, PN 4414901 6. Match wire colors and twist the two bare ends around each other. 7. Solder the joint together using a ROSIN CORE SOLDER. Center the heat shrink tubing over the joint and heat using a heat gun. Heat the joint until the tubing is tightly sealed and sealant comes out of both ends of heat shrink tubing. 8 Connect the ECT sensor wiring and battery negative terminal.
