Assignment Brief and Guidance:

Scenario

You have been appointed as an assistant talent acquisition manager in a hospitality business. Working closely
with the HR director you are to develop, manage and improve the annual performance review process. You
are reviewing and updating training and development programs for food and beverage department in order to
improve programs and procedures to promote employee engagement, retention and professional
development.

Selecting a specific job role within a food and beverage department, you are to review the issues regarding
retaining staffs, as well as the stages of the HR life cycle and how these can support talent acquisition and
retention. You will then develop a performance management plan. You have been asked to present them
information as part of the training for food and beverage managers.

Part 1

Section A:
Prepare a document about 2000 words that

 Reviews the different stages of HR life cycle applied to a specific hospitality job role in food and
beverage sector and their importance for retaining and developing talent.
 Develops a performance management plan to support the specific hospitality job role applying
techniques to resolve both negative behavior and overcome issues of staff retention.
 Evaluates the importance of HR life cycle in relation to the role HR plays in supporting, growing and
retaining talent and overcoming issues of staff retention.
 Makes valid judgments and recommendations on how HR processes and documents can be
