Presidential Forecast

The 2022 Presidential Race has brought nationwide attention to the Filipino citizens,
most especially the youth. Platforms such as social media has greatly contributed to
concretizing and solidifying bets for the position of President. Though each candidate has
something to bring to the table, as presidential debates presented their visions for the country, I,
as a member of the youth, the bearers of change, have identified the candidate which I think
would win the elections and the reason behind that possibility of victory.

With personal matters to begin with, my family was a victim of the journalist killings
under the administration of Ferdinand Marcos. Alex Orcullo, my late grandfather, was a Filipino
journalist in Davao City who spoke about the legitimate events occurring under the dictatorship
of the said leader. He was a community spearhead and an activist who represented the
sentiments of the people who were abused under the Marcos regime and became a figure of
protest in Davao City. He was also the editor of the Mindanao Currents and a writer of the San
Pedro Express. Given that he had access to these platforms, he utilized it to his intent of
speaking the truth and to gather people who are willing to
