We are living in a fast-changing world from a traditional to high technology.

We can
communicate to our friends, colleagues and family through the use of gadgets. We can apply for a job,
renew our license, meet other people or we can have thousands of friends with the use of internets.

I am just honest to myself; I am in this computer age but I still need to update my knowledge in
using all of this. I am lucky enough that I am one of the chosen learners of GURO 21. I am very grateful
for it will upgrade me to be one of the 21 st century teacher as a subject matter expert and as a
facilitator. This is a tough task but I have so many learnings in this course.

I am open minded to new ideas in which I encourage my pupils to be one. I would honestly rate
myself based from my performance every end of the school year for me to improve in the next teaching
years. I use strategies which suits the abilities of my pupils for them to fully understand the lesson. I am
always learning new and better ways to present my lesson to my pupils, listening to their ideas/opinion
is very important for me to improve.

So, as a 21st century educator, I must possess the eight habits of 21 st century teacher. I must
learn to adapt the curriculum in imaginative ways to look across the disciplines, leverage collaborative
tools to enhance and captivate our learners, take the risk. I must learn and adapt as the horizons change
and fluent in tools and technologies that enable communication and collaboration. Teachers should
teach values, so we must model the behavior that we expect from our pupils. And lastly a leader knows
how to deal with situations and knowledgeable enough to deal with such situation.
